Wuldor the Hunter

In the above pictures we see the constellation of Orion. By joining the seven brightest stars we see how the constellation becomes the Wolf Hook. This style of Wolf Hook is based upon the Eoh rune - the Yew rune which again connects it back to Wuldor. Wuldors home is  Ýdalir, meaning "yew dales", so we can see how this constellation is home to Wuldor, and the Wolf Hook his symbol. The Constellation of Orion is followed across the sky by Canis Major and Canis Minor as he travels across the Northern sky. These may represent his hunting dogs - or even the Wolves of Woden, as Wuldor is believed to represent Woden in his winter guise. In the rune poem we see how Wuldor is the Guardian of the Flame. The wood of the Yew burns very well and in esoteric lore we find that the brightest star in Orion is Betelgeuse -  also called ãrdrã  - who is ruled over by the Aryan god Rudra the Bowman.

Anglo Saxon Rune Poem (Eoh)

The yew is a tree with rough bark,
hard and fast in the earth, supported by its roots,
a guardian of flame and a joy upon an estate.
